Community Engagement
Touching Lives Beyond the Hospital Walls.
At the Critical Care Nurses Association of Zambia (CCNAZ), our mission extends beyond the clinical setting.
We are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of communities across Zambia through education, outreach, and emergency response.
By sharing knowledge and providing hands-on support, we bring compassionate care directly to the people we serve.
Public Education
CCNAZ members actively participate in health awareness programs aimed at empowering communities with lifesaving knowledge and skills. Our initiatives include: First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) training. Injury prevention campaigns. Health talks in schools, workplaces, and community centers. We believe that informed communities are safer, healthier, and better prepared to save lives.
Community Outreach
Through strong partnerships with health facilities, NGOs, and local leaders, CCNAZ organizes outreach programs designed to reach vulnerable populations. These efforts include: Health screenings for common conditions. Public health talks promoting wellness and disease prevention. Medical camps in underserved areas. Together, we make healthcare more accessible to every Zambian.
Disaster Response
CCNAZ plays a key role in national disaster preparedness and response efforts. We train and mobilize specialized nursing teams ready to provide emergency support during: Natural disasters. Epidemics and outbreaks. Mass casualty situations. Our commitment is to be there when Zambia needs us most.
Our Impact
Through consistent community engagement, CCNAZ continues to bridge the gap between healthcare professionals and the communities they serve — fostering trust, saving lives, and building resilience.
